The EmLogis Scheduling Method is totally unique and unlike any other affordable scheduling application available. Welcome to our last installment in our series of posts on the way in which different employee scheduling software applications create an employee schedule! So far we have discussed the template approach (the most basic method), the linear programming approach (which is used more often than any other) and the basic optimization approach (which is more complex, but the rewards are much higher). Today I am going to tell you about the EmLogis approach. The first thing you need to know is that EmLogis is rules driven. During our free, 14-day implementation, we will help you define all of the rules around your employee schedule. When you are ready for your first schedule, EmLogis starts by creating a fully compliant schedule. That means that we don’t stop creating a schedule until all employee hour requirements are met and as many open shifts are filled as possible. This, as you will recall, is very different from the linear programming approach.
